The FlexSim AGV Simulation Software module is a powerful, free FlexSim add-on that was created specifically for modeling Automated Guided Vehicle handling systems. Creating an AGV system within a simulation model is now easier than ever before with FlexSim’s free AGV Simulation Software module.

The AGV module, available for download through the Online Content section in the FlexSim software, marks the first dedicated material handling product developed by FlexSim.

What can it do?

The AGV Simulation Software module is a better alternative to any other software product or to using standard FlexSim Network Nodes to manage AGV systems. It was actually built with real-world AGV systems in mind, utilizing familiar industry terminology (such as Look For Work and Control Point), dedicated objects, and intuitive tools. The animated GIF shows a simple AGV system created in under two minutes, but the AGV module also has the ability to customize large and complex systems.

Once the AGV Simulation Software module is installed, a new section will be added to the user manual containing comprehensive documentation of the AGV module, as well as three new tutorials in the “Tutorials” section of the manual. These tutorials cover all the basics and a few advanced topics, and some videos based on the tutorials are also available through FlexSim youtube channel.
