Meet the owners
Steven Hamoen MSc
Steven Hamoen graduated from the TU Delft as an industrial engineer in 1994 and after fulfilling his militairy service, he started working in 1995. First in R&D and very soon as project engineer and manager for Breda Packaging, a company that designs & builds packaging machines. After a short period as an assistant manager for Matam he started working in the simulation business in 1998 for F&H Simulations. After the take over of F&H in 2000, he started, together with Dirk-Jan Moens, Talumis in 2003. His job description is very wide. Besides building models and libraries and selling Flexsim, he also tries to keep Talumis up to date with the latest technologies.
Dirk-Jan Moens MSc
Dirk-Jan Moens graduated from the Technical University Twente as an industrial engineer in 1994. He has specialized in Operations Research and discrete event simulation. After fulfilling his military service, he started working in the simulation industry for F&H Simulations.
In 2003 he started Talumis together with Steven Hamoen. Dirk-Jan has extensive experience in various simulation projects ranging from production, oil and gas supply to airport logistics.

Harald Emsbroek MSc
Harald graduated from the Technical University Twente as a mathematics engineer. He has specialized in Operations Research and has vast experience in programming schedulers and optimization algorithms.
Mischa Spelt MSc
Mischa obtained a double BSc in Physics and Mathematics at Utrecht University, then graduated in Theoretical Physics (MSc) with a focus on Soft Condensed Matter. He proceeded to work as Scientific Software Engineer / Consultant in The Hague, getting formal training and experience in .NET and other technologies, as well as general software engineering skills, while working for various R&D customers in The Netherlands and abroad. Throughout his career he has enjoyed teaching, mainly to final-year high school students and adults, as well as putting his organization skills to use.
Patrick Zweekhorst MSc
Patrick graduated in Econometrics and Operational Research (MSc) with a focus on Operational Research at the VU in Amsterdam. He has always been interested in logistical challenges.
Abel van der Windt MSc
Abel went to the University of Twente to study mechanical engineering. He graduated in the direction of Production Management with a focus on computational design of supply chains.
Steven Valk MSc
Steven graduated from the Technical University Delft as Mechanical engineer, and has a specialization in Transportation Engineering and Logistics. He has always had a strong interest in logistics and computing, which he can perfectly combine in making simulation models.
Lucas Struijk
Lucas graduated with a Bachelor‘s degree in Information Design from Ateneo de Manila University, where he also minored in Interactive Multimedia. He then completed a Master’s program in Digital Arts at Karel de Grote Hogeschool in Antwerp. Lucas has a passion for designing efficient and intuitive software to tackle complex engineering challenges.
Jesus Padilla
Jesús graduated as a Production Engineer from Málaga, with a year abroad in Sweden where he studied Industrial Engineering. He then completed a two-year Master’s program in Industrial Analytics at Uppsala. It was in Sweden where he discovered his passion for simulation, which has since become a focal point of his career.
